Director, Content Operations

The Director, Primary Law Content Operations will be mainly responsible for:

  • Managing the Primary Law Content Operations which includes, Acquisition of information, structuring and restructuring of content, and processing and loading of such content for Thomson Reuters products and solutions in a timely and secure manner.

  • Ensuring operational excellence of primary law processes via automation, continuous process improvement and robust metric controls of quality, efficiency & productivity.

  • Ability to streamline and implement new workflows that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.

  • Develop and execute the change strategy, to deliver improved management information, enhanced efficiency in regulatory reporting, higher business partner/customer satisfaction.

  • Plan, manage and analyze day-to-day operations of centralized teams to ensure performance metrics are consistently met, reviewed, revised as appropriate.

  • Understand local laws and regulations to implement plans to successfully adapt to the changing environment

  • Continuously assess processes and operational excellence practices to identify opportunities for process reengineering, redesign, and automation, driving improvements in quality, performance, cycle time and cost.

  • Excellent business acumen with hands on experience in managing financials and budgetary plans.

  • Excellent exposure towards managing external stakeholders, Outsourcing models experience across 3rd party partners & In sourcing of work in line with the strategy will be an added advantage.

  • Exposure to understand the overall context and business models within the organization and determine as well as the evaluate the work force strategy in line with customer impacts as well as cost effective delivery models.

  • Prior experience in building rapidly growing teams - designing, planning, evaluating, and executing in a seamless manner.

  • Experience in managing vendors – primarily vendor relationship, commercial acumen on the pricing models as well as evaluating clear criteria’s and glidepaths to have a positive outcome and impact on deliverables.

  • Strong Change agent and works well across boundaries, peers, and colleagues. Influencing skills would be paramount with strong emphasis on data management and analytics for outcome driven approach.

  • Agile, ownership and accountable with an emphasis on being proactive and move things in a fast-based approach.

  • Experience managing content collections, processes & systems in support of business information services.

  • Demonstrated ability for establishing strategy, driving for improved performance, consistently producing superior results, cultivating ownership & accountability

  • Strategic leader for identifying, developing & retaining talent and building strong agile teams

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Proven leadership capabilities in matrixed environments

  • A proven, well rounded commercial leader who has served in global organizations of scale

  • Deep understanding of how emerging technologies can be optimally integrated complex environments

  • A visionary change agent, driving continuous improvement and excellence. Track record of developing and delivering a strategy & vision that has significantly impacted the customer experience across the enterprise.

  • Strong cadence and delivery on metrics - transparency, timeliness, efficiency in resource planning & execution

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to innovate and make strategic decisions

Education

  • Candidate should be graduate /post-graduate with strong academic record and minimum of 15 years of experience working in a global operations role.

  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software
