Are you motivated by playing a crucial part in maintaining the operational efficiency and security of IT infrastructure? We’re looking for an IT Specialist to join us at Thinkific.

As an IT Specialist at Thinkific, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, managing employee end-user systems, overseeing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, and ensuring the efficient and secure use of tools by employees. Core responsibilities of this role include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining software and hardware systems, and implementing security protocols. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize technology solutions and enhance productivity.

Your goal will be to directly contribute to seamless workflow processes and data protection measures, safeguarding sensitive information and promoting productivity across the organization. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:

• Perform end-user support for Mac Devices and SaaS applications
• Manage user access to SaaS applications, ensuring proper permissions and configurations for security and efficiency
• Administer corporate email systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of email accounts and services
• Coordinate and execute software updates and patches for Mac systems to ensure compliance with security protocols and compatibility with corporate applications
• Facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new employees, including provisioning of IT resources, setup of Mac devices, and access to necessary SaaS tools
• Establish user guides, best practices, and technical documentation for end-users

The person we have in mind likely:

• Has 3+ years in a Systems Administration or similar IT Specialist role
• Has experience deploying and utilizing a Mobile Device Management product, preferably with Jumpcloud
• Demonstrated experience in administering Identity-as-a-Service products such as Onelogin, Okta, or Azure AD, and experience in managing various Operating Systems such as Mac, Windows, and Linux
• Possesses strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business

These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:

• Experience with a large MAC deployment
• A background with Cloud-as-a-Service models of delivery and their management
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Working knowledge of project management and change management practices

The recruitment compensation range for this position is $89,000 - $111,000 CAD
