About the Business Development Lead - APAC Region, Mezo
Mezo’s business development lead for the Asia Pacific region will own investor relations, partnerships, HNW user relationships, and general business development efforts in the Asian markets. You will focus primarily on relationships in China and Singapore, in addition to Korea, Japan, and the South East Asian market if relevant. This person will report to the VP of Business Development and work closely with the Mezo Growth Lead and Mezo’s APAC Community Manager. Their north star KPI is to drive Mezo’s TVL, users, and ecosystem partners in the Asian markets.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Market Development: Devise and execute strategies that establish a strong presence for Mezo in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, focusing on market penetration and sustainable growth.
- Partnership Cultivation: Identify and secure strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as builders, apps, wallets, exchanges, other enterprises, financial institutions, and government bodies, enhancing Mezo’s market reach and service adoption.
- Product and Market Alignment: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to tailor Mezo’s offerings to meet the specific needs and compliance requirements of the APAC market.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Mezo at major industry events, conferences, and seminars, enhancing the company’s profile and developing new business leads. Be a key voice in educating the market about Mezo.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in business development, preferably in blockchain, fintech, or a related technology field, with a proven track record in the APAC region.
- Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the APAC’s regulatory and business environment, particularly as it relates to digital assets and blockchain technology.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort with complex technical products and ability to align technical capabilities with market needs.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, inspire confidence, and push for results.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills, adept at engaging with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Language: Proficiency in English required; Mandarin and other prominent languages in the region are a plus.

Location
All Thesis roles are remote-first, with a preference for this person to be located in the APAC region (bonus if Hong Kong or Singapore) and be comfortable interacting with people in US timezones.
