The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Podman and integrating them with Helm charts for deployment within Kubernetes environments. Your role will involve developing Universal Base Image (UBI) 9.4-based containers, writing Dockerfiles, and creating integrated Helm charts for a variety of applications. A Secret Clearance is required for this role.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain UBI 9.4-based containers for specified applications.
  • Write efficient and secure Dockerfiles for container image creation.
  • Create and manage integrated Helm charts for deploying applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containerization and deployment.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in containerization, orchestration, and related technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5 or more years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with containerization tools such as Podman and Docker.
  • Experience with applications such as DataHub, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Druid, JupyterHub, Label Studio, Spark, Kafka, Logstash, Kibana, MailServer, BusyBox, MongoDB, Cassandra, and GitLab CE.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
  • Strong understanding of Helm for Kubernetes application deployment.
  • Familiarity with Secure Build Infrastructure Requirements (SBIR) and ShipCom expected protocols.
  • Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end development processes.
  • Experience with database management and server-side languages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in software development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline).

Citizenship and Clearance requirement:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • TS eligible; active TS-SCI security clearance desired.

  • Must have the ability to communicate, exchange and review information and ideas in an in-person or virtual setting through the use of online tools and available communication mediums.
  • While this is primarily a remote role, occasional travel or in-person meetings may be required
  • Occasional movement or traversing of ones environment may be required.
  • Constant use of mental alertness.
  • Frequent work under deadlines.
