Backup Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backup Administrator to join our IT team. As a Backup Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of our company's data through the implementation and management of backup and recovery systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery systems to ensure the protection and availability of data
• Create and maintain backup policies and procedures
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Perform periodic test restores to verify the integrity of backup data
• Manage backup storage systems and ensure adequate capacity is maintained
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop disaster recovery plans and participate in disaster recovery exercises
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in backup and recovery

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in backup and recovery administration
• Strong knowledge of backup technologies and concepts
• Experience with backup software such as Commvault, Veeam, or similar
• Experience with storage systems and technologies
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant certifications such as Commvault Certified Professional or Veeam Certified Engineer are a plus
