Residency Requirements: This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states, D.C. with occasional travel required to support testing or attend in-person meetings or trainings.
The Student Attendance Clerk ensures that school age children are attending school regularly by investigating causes of unexcused or excessive absences, communicating with families and assisting them in problem-solving, issuing attendance-based warnings, and helping to represent the school if cases go to court.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Assist families, students, and staff with daily attendance questions by email and phone
- Excuse attendance/ Process absence forms per District and State regulations
- Locate leavers and collect correct leaver documentation from schools and families per District and State regulations.
- Assist with State testing
- Assist with withdrawals
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior related work experience such as administrative or customer service
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to pass required background check
Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be Hourly $12.29 - $23.41

Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
