Experience: 7 - 10 years

The Technical Program Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of software programs in the connectivity domain — including telematics, OTA, data platform, and connected vehicle features. This role involves coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, managing suppliers and customers, and ensuring seamless program execution from development through production maturity.

The position requires a mix of technical understanding, strong execution discipline, and customer-facing communication skills to drive program success in terms of quality, timing, and financial outcomes.

What you’ll do:

Program Delivery & Execution

  • Manage program delivery from planning through production release, ensuring scope, timing, and quality targets are achieved.
  • Develop and track program schedules, milestones, and dependencies across software, validation, and integration teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between embedded, backend, cloud, and mobile development streams.
  • Monitor program health, identify bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution of issues.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers as needed to support deployments and key initiatives.

Engineering & Integration Coordination

  • Work closely with engineering teams to align technical deliverables with program goals.
  • Track software feature readiness, testing progress, and integration maturity.
  • Coordinate system-level validation and ensure readiness for customer testing and production rollout.
  • Support design and release planning activities for software updates and version management.

Supplier & Partner Management

  • Coordinate deliverables with external suppliers and technology partners.
  • Track supplier commitments, integration packages, and software drops.
  • Facilitate technical and program reviews with suppliers to ensure delivery alignment and quality compliance.

Customer Engagement

  • Act as the single point of contact for customer program coordination.
  • Conduct regular status updates, milestone reviews, and risk assessments with customer teams.
  • Ensure transparent communication and proactive management of issues or changes.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through consistent delivery performance and responsiveness.

Financial & Business Governance

  • Track program budgets, effort utilization, and change requests.
  • Support cost estimation, resource planning, and profitability tracking.
  • Contribute to business reviews and program financial reporting.

Risk & Change Management

  • Identify risks early in the program lifecycle and define mitigation actions.
  • Maintain risk and issue logs with regular updates and tracking.
  • Assess the impact of scope or timeline changes and drive decision-making with stakeholders.

What you should know:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in software program or project management, preferably in automotive connectivity, telematics, IoT, or SDV domains.
  • Proven track record in managing software delivery involving multiple teams or suppliers.
  • Good understanding of connected vehicle architecture, OTA frameworks, and cloud-device communication.
  • Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is an advantage.
  • PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong planning and execution skills with a delivery-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical understanding of software integration, validation, and release management.
  • Financial and analytical skills for tracking budgets and program health.
  • Collaborative leadership and problem-solving ability in a dynamic environment.
  • On-time software releases meeting customer and internal quality standards.
  • Positive customer feedback and relationship health.
  • Program cost and effort within the approved budget.
  • Minimal escalations and controlled change management.
  • Smooth production readiness with validated software performance.

Work Location / Travel

  • Must be willing to travel to other locations as needed.
  • 30% domestic travel based on project needs, attending workshops, testing with customers, going live, product support, etc.
