Cloud Project Manager

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated Cloud Project Manager to lead multi-cloud projects using an both traditional and agile project management methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple Cloud projects simutaneously in a multi-cloud environment, ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. The Cloud Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, developers, network engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects across multiple cloud platforms. The successful candidate will possess expertise in cloud technologies and multi-cloud environments, strong project management skills, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams from different business units. A passion for cloud technologies and a customer-centric mindset are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management using traditional and agile methodologies in a multi-cloud environment, utilizing Jira as the project management and reporting tool.
• Plan, design, and coordinate multi-cloud technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Establish project scopes, translating business requirements into technical specifications and project plans.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, work plans, and schedules, adjusting as needed to accommodate changing priorities and requirements.
• Create comprehensive resource plans to manage utilization, including strategies for handling team members' absences and task prioritization.
• Implement proper Cloud documentation and processes, including operational procedures, incident response, guidebooks, checklists, and naming standards.
• Collaborate with customers to create a long-term Cloud roadmap.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective stakeholder communication and timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Manage project risks by identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
• Foster collaboration and communication between stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for secure, effective, and efficient project delivery.
• Lead post-mortem activities to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular project status updates to management and other stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and presentation of change requests to the Change Control Board.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud project management, particularly in a multi-cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and solution architectures from leading vendors such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Experience managing projects using traditional and agile methodologies, with a focus on multi-cloud platforms, including integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• PMP, ITIL, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications are desirable.
• Technical knowledge of IT operations and infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Experience in an ITIL environment with an understanding of ITIL framework best practices.
• Comfortable with drafting and presenting executive-level briefings.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

This is a full-time position that requires 2 days per week on-site in Arlington, VA

Desired Qualifications

Clearance Preference:

• DHS EOD - 1st priority
• Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret or Secret - 2nd choice
• DoD Secret or Top Secret + willingness to get EOD clearance - 3rd choice (it can take 45 days to obtain EOD clearance – work can only begin once the clearance is fully adjudicated)
