Lead Applied ML Engineer

What we’re looking for…

ScienceLogic is looking for an ambitious Lead Applied Machine Learning Scientist (Engineer) to join our AIML team. You will focus on developing and deploying machine learning solutions to help our customers make sense of an ever-increasing amount of monitoring data. Ideal candidates will be passionate about machine learning, ever curious and hungry to learn, with a bias toward action and delivering value to the customer quickly. We are building out a leading-edge, AI-first monitoring analytics platform for ScienceLogic customers and prospects. The capabilities of this platform will eclipse what other observability vendors are bringing. This is the product you'll be working on.

You will be working key leaders of our Analytics group including CTO of Zebrium to develop core offering and help build out the team.

Qualities you possess…

• Working with LLMs: Deploying LLMs in production as well as tuning and experimenting with foundational LLMs and search techniques.
• Tailored AI Modeling: Building bespoke machine learning models and frameworks for scalable enterprise AI agents.
• Defining Requirements for Training Data and User Feedback: Guiding the team to collect the right data for fine-tuning, relevance ranking optimization, and benchmarking.
• Developing AI best practices: Implementing monitoring and guardrails around the product and defining best practices for leveraging generative AI in production.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-5+ experience with software engineering developing and deploying production-level code for highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with React UI, Swagger APIs.
• Experience with Python, ClickHouse, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with AWS, but on-prem is deployed via HELM, as a cloud-native app.
• Experience with HuggingFace Python libs, PostgresML, Pytorch, OpenAI.
