Hybrid Working -Blend of on-site and remote working. You will be expected to travel to Royal Mail’s operational and non-operational sites when the business requires.

About the role

You’ll lead the provision of specialist expertise in the field of Ergonomics across Royal Mail Group, to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and recognised best practices. Your work will also give you the opportunity to contribute to the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors studies.

You’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders from the frontline workforce, consult with trade unions through to senior leadership teams and C -Suite executives to challenge, influence and drive the understanding and importance of human factors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • Degree or experience in Human Factors or Applied Psychology or related field.
  • Chartered Membership of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or willing to work towards.
  • Fully conversant with EU and UK ergonomics, inclusiveness and occupational health legislation and best practices.
  • Significant ergonomics and inclusive design experience and knowledge within a large complex environment.
  • Experience of collaborating with senior stakeholders at all levels including union representatives and able to deliver clear concise effective communication.
  • Experience in a senior management position.
