Workforce Planning Business Partner - South England - Regional Travel - (Remote Working/Site visits).

Location: This is a remote working role covering Royal Mail South England regional areas. The successful candidate will be required to travel to relevant regional Royal Mail business and operation sites. Due to the nature of the role, a Full valid UK Driving Licence is required.
Royal Mail are looking for an experienced Workforce Planning Business Partner to work alongside the senior stakeholder to successfully support workforce planning processes and controls. Royal Mail is one of the largest employers in the UK with around 130k people working across 1.3k locations. People costs account for 70% of the cost base and as such, robust workforce planning, and template management control is critical to profitability.

About the role
This is a key role in the South England Regions/Functions, working alongside the senior leadership team to successfully:
- Achieve the workforce/FTE plan through agreed governance approach.
- Deliver the management and admin budget, aligned to agreed OD principles.
- Enable improvements in attrition and demographic mix.
- Provide coaching to managers on workforce planning processes and controls.
- Support the deployment of key talent programmes (e.g., apprentices) and strategic projects (e.g. USO reform
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for ensuring template management processes align with Royal Mail governance, control, and JE principles
- Accountable for reporting on template alignment to plan, providing variance analysis and actions to close gaps.
- Non-management: Template Designate for all Frontline roles ensuring the organisation structure aligns with approved headcount.
- Non-management: accountable for ensuring appropriate functional governance is in place and interfacing with HR shared services to align resource. demand/supply and deliver the workforce plan.
- Responsible for the analysis of attrition data from PSP and exit surveys to support local plans to improve retention.
- Responsible for the analysis of demographic data to support deployment of local initiatives to improve representation.
- Collaborate with CoEs, HR shared services and other stakeholders to support on functional projects (e.g. Peak, new OD).
- Subject matter expert for resourcing and template management, providing advice and guidance to Regional/Functional representatives as required.

About You
• Subject matter expert, credible on workforce planning matters in an operational environment
• Good understanding of the demand and supply levers that impact workforce planning decisions.
• Ability to coach and challenge in a positive style.
• Experience of influencing senior leaders to achieve objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills including use of relevant data systems.
• Resilience, tenacity, and a self-starter
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy frameworks and IR agreements
• Degree qualified or equivalent desirable.
• CIPD qualified desirable
