Job Description

【SiC product development and launch of SiC business】
In order to launch new SiC products and new SiC businesses that Renesas is now focusing on, the following items listed below will be leaded while sharing and collaborating with global team members and other divisions.

・Product specification and design

・Device and process development

・Evaluation and Analysis of power device characteristics and reliability
・Supply chain establishment
・Launch of new SiC production line and commercialization

Qualifications

Requirement:

・R&D experience for SiC power devices (3+ years)
・Language Skills: Business level of Japanese & Business Level of English

・Chip layout design

・Evaluation and analysis of power device characteristics and reliability
・TCAD device & process simulation
・Process integration
・Knowledge and experience for power electronics and inverters
・Communication skills in English with global members

Additional Information

SiC power device is anticipated to be key device in the shift to xEV toward the realization of a decarbonized society. The SiC power device market is expected to growth rapidly. Renesas announced that it will enter the SiC power device business, establish a new SiC production line at the Takasaki Factory and start mass production in 2025, and signed a long-term SiC wafer supply contract with Wolfspeed. We are now moving forward this with a new global organization. This time, we are looking for new engineers who can promote the development of SiC power device products and the launch of the SiC business together.
