Architect

We are looking for licensed architects!

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architect to join our remote team. In this role, you will compile and prepare construction documents for modular homes, sheds, cabins, and custom site-built residences using Chief Architect software. You will work primarily from existing company templates and project files, ensuring all plans meet applicable building codes, state program requirements, and third-party inspection agency standards. This is a highly technical role that requires precision, strong organizational habits, and a thorough understanding of residential construction documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Modular Home Construction Documents

• Compile TPIA-ready construction documents for modular home designs using Chief Architect
• Work from provided company templates and existing project files to produce complete, code-compliant plan sets
• Ensure all plans meet state modular home program requirements and Third Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) plan review standards
• Apply all applicable building codes throughout the document preparation process

Shed & Cabin Construction Documents

• Compile permit-ready construction documents for shed and cabin manufacturers using Chief Architect
• Work from company-provided templates and existing files to produce accurate, permit-ready plan sets
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes for each project type and jurisdiction

Custom Site-Built Home Plans

• Detail and annotate custom site-built home plans for clients in the state of Missouri
• Ensure full compliance with Missouri residential building codes and the International Residential Code (IRC)
• Produce clear, complete, and well-organized documentation suitable for permit submittal and construction

Plan Revisions & Client Coordination

• Review and incorporate client feedback into construction documents accurately and in a timely manner
• Revise and update plans as needed throughout the project lifecycle while maintaining document version control
• Communicate professionally with internal team members and clients regarding plan changes and project status

Project File Management

• Maintain organized and up-to-date project files across all active and completed projects
• Manage document versions to ensure the most current plans are always accessible and clearly labeled
• Track project progress to support efficient workflow and timely plan delivery
• Ensure all plans and supporting materials are stored and retrievable in accordance with company standards

Software & Tools

Required

• Chief Architect — proficiency strongly preferred; this is the primary software used for all project work

Considered in Lieu of Chief Architect

• Archicad
• Revit

This is a full time role

Up to $8/hr

100% Remote
