Position Overview

We are a digital marketing agency seeking a skilled and analytical SEO Specialist to manage and grow organic search performance for our clients. In this role, you will own on-page and technical SEO strategy, conduct keyword research, analyze performance data, and implement optimizations directly on client websites. You are comfortable working inside website platforms, fluent in spreadsheets, and know how to turn data into actionable strategy.

We have a dedicated content writer on the team — but if you can review, adjust, or optimize content for SEO when needed, that flexibility will set you apart. Web design skills are a strong bonus.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Optimization

  • Develop and execute on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies across multiple client accounts
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for organic growth
  • Perform regular SEO audits and prioritize actionable improvements for each client site
  • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking, and URL architecture
  • Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and crawlability
  • Build and manage backlink strategies to strengthen domain authority

Website Updates & CMS Management

  • Make on-site updates across client websites including content edits, page creation, and structural changes
  • Work confidently within Webflow and other website builders or CMS platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or Shopify
  • Implement SEO recommendations directly on client websites without relying on a separate development team
  • Ensure all web pages are properly optimized for search at the time of publishing or updating

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build, maintain, and manage detailed SEO tracking spreadsheets and reporting dashboards in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Track keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, click-through rates, and conversion performance across all client accounts
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities, and translate findings into clear recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver regular SEO performance reports for internal teams and clients
  • Use tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz to inform strategy and measure results

Content Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the in-house content writer to ensure all content is optimized for target keywords and search intent
  • Provide keyword briefs, content outlines, and SEO direction to guide content creation
  • Review and make minor content updates or SEO adjustments directly on the site when needed
  • Ensure meta data, alt text, schema markup, and internal links are applied consistently across all content

Technical SEO

  • Manage and maintain XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and site indexing settings
  • Identify and resolve crawl errors, redirect chains, broken links, and duplicate content issues
  • Implement structured data and schema markup to enhance search appearance
  • Coordinate with web teams or platforms to address technical issues that impact search performance

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within an agency or multi-client environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets — you are comfortable building reports, pivot tables, and tracking systems from scratch
  • Demonstrated experience making updates directly within Webflow or comparable website builders
  • Working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and at least one SEO platform such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organization
  • Clear written communication skills for reporting and client-facing documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Webflow specifically, including the ability to build or redesign pages within the platform
  • Web design skills — the ability to create visually clean, conversion-focused pages is a meaningful advantage
  • Ability to review and edit content for SEO optimization when the content writer needs support
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, or other CMS platforms in addition to Webflow
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS basics for implementing SEO-related code changes
  • Google Analytics or Google Ads certification is a plus
