RecruitGo's story is one of strategic evolution, born from a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in global talent acquisition. Its journey began within Emerhub, a company founded in 2011 by Lauri Lahi and Marlissa Lahi in Jakarta, Indonesia. Initially known as 'Indosight,' their mission was to simplify market entry for businesses looking to establish themselves in Indonesia. As Emerhub expanded its footprint across Southeast Asia, opening offices in Vietnam and the Philippines, a significant pattern emerged. The team noticed that many clients were primarily setting up legal entities in these new markets for the sole purpose of hiring remote talent. The real challenge for these companies wasn't the incorporation process itself, but the ongoing complexities of managing payroll, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and handling HR administration for their remote teams.
This key insight sparked the creation of a new service within Emerhub: an Employer of Record (EOR) solution. This service quickly gained traction, particularly in the Philippines, and its growth soon outpaced other services offered by Emerhub in the region. Recognizing the immense potential and the distinct focus of the EOR service, the decision was made to spin it off into a separate, dedicated entity. In 2023, RecruitGo was officially launched. This strategic move allowed the new company to dedicate all its resources and expertise to building a powerful platform for remote team building. Today, RecruitGo stands as an end-to-end solution for businesses looking to hire, manage, and pay talent in emerging markets across the globe. It leverages the years of on-the-ground experience inherited from Emerhub to offer a seamless, compliant, and efficient way for companies to build high-performing remote teams without the bureaucratic hurdles of establishing local entities.
