Position Overview

RecruitGo is looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Technician to support our Sales and Project Management teams across all CAD drawing requirements. Working under the supervision of the Head of Technical, this role plays a key part in delivering high-quality technical services and ensuring accuracy across both standard and bespoke product design.

Responsibilities:

  • 2D AutoCAD Drawings: Prepare project drawings using 2D AutoCAD and, when needed, SolidWorks. This includes both standard and bespoke products, requiring research and validation. Generate manufacturing drawings for suppliers once customer approval is received.
  • Test Drawings: Create comprehensive 2D drawing packs for technical testing of standard and emerging products prior to scheduled test dates.
  • Bespoke Products & Projects: Design and process bespoke product requirements following the technical bespoke process. Provide accurate information packages to ensure successful delivery and offer customer support when necessary.
  • Standard Products: Support continuous improvement by handling small projects aimed at enhancing current products and accessories.
  • Sales CAD Library: Develop and maintain a library of 2D DWG and SolidWorks CAD files for Sales and Marketing, based on controlled manufacturing CAD models.
  • Technical Support: Assist the Head of Technical with standard product maintenance, specifications, and troubleshooting across both standard and bespoke products.
  • Product Testing & Investigation: Support internal product testing, problem-solving, and technical investigations as required.
  • Cross-Department Support: Provide technical assistance to internal teams, including contributing to marketing literature for existing products.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, construction, or the built environment
  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to understand technical products
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Customer-centric approach and ability to manage expectations professionally
  • Ability to adapt to change and work to tight deadlines
  • Confidence to push back or say “no” when necessary, in a constructive manner
