Quooker

Quooker is a Dutch manufacturing company best known for inventing and producing the world's first boiling water tap. Founded in 1987 by Henri Peteri and his son Niels Peteri, the company has revolutionized the kitchen industry with its innovative tap systems that dispense instant 100°C boiling water. The concept was originally conceived by Henri Peteri in 1970 while he was working at Unilever, where he realized the inefficiency of waiting for water to boil. Today, Quooker's product range has expanded to include systems that provide filtered chilled and sparkling water in addition to boiling, hot, and cold water, all from a single tap.

Headquartered in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands, Quooker operates a substantial manufacturing facility where it produces over 300,000 systems annually. The company maintains a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency, with its high-vacuum insulated tanks designed to minimize energy consumption. Quooker is a family-run business, currently led by Henri's sons, Niels and Walter Peteri. The company has a global presence, with active operations in 16 countries including the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates, employing over 450 people worldwide.
