Grundfos

The story of Grundfos began in 1945 in a small cellar in Bjerringbro, Denmark, where founder Poul Due Jensen established a company originally named 'Bjerringbro Pressestøberi og Maskinfabrik' (Bjerringbro Die-Casting and Machine Factory). Driven by a personal need to pump water for his own farm, Jensen created his first pump, setting in motion a journey of relentless innovation. What started as a modest local operation quickly evolved as the company pioneered new technologies, including the first circulator pump, which revolutionized the heating industry.

In 1967, the company officially adopted the name Grundfos, a nod to one of its early products. Over the decades, Grundfos expanded far beyond the Danish borders, growing into a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology. Today, the company is owned by the Grundfos Foundation, a structure that ensures long-term independence and a steadfast commitment to its core purpose: pioneering solutions to the world's water and climate challenges.
