Providence is calling a Coding Quality Educator who will:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the PCN Coding Integrity Team and regional coding teams
- Assist with new employee training and ongoing department education
- Assist with the identification, development and delivery of new and ongoing provider education and training related to coding and clinical documentation
- Conduct independent and collaborative provider coding reviews according to the coding integrity work plan and develops appropriate documentation to support coding review work performed
- Collaborate with various departments e.g., Physician Network Operations, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Practice Operations, and other key stakeholders necessary to develop and implement training curriculum for prioritized opportunities in assigned departments
- Lead provider training
- Analyze and distribute key performance metric
- Develop action plans for improvement in collaboration with the provider leadership

Required qualifications for this position include:
- 4+ years of experience with professional fee inpatient, surgical, outpatient coding, E/M, auditing and other related work
- 4+ years of experience conducting medical coding provider audits and quality performance measures
- 4+ years of experience preparing audit reports with recommendations
- 4+ years of experience providing provider education and feedback to facilitate improvement in documentation and coding
- National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders (Vendor Managed) -OR- National Certification from American Health Information Management Association
- Strong experience in Excel (e.g., pivot tables), database, e-mail, and Internet applications on a PC in a Windows environment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Associate Degree in Healthcare related field of study
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Health Information Technology or another related field of study
- 5+ years of experience in coding for multispecialty practice
- 2+ years of experience in professional fee billing methodologies
- Experience with IDX, Allscripts, Advanced Web, Meditech
- Experience with project management
