Senior Server & Cloud Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Server and Cloud Engineer to join their Engineering and Implementation team. In this role, you'll take the lead in designing, deploying, and maintaining on-premises and cloud-hosted systems ensuring security, reliability, and performance across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of IT infrastructure projects
• Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud and on-prem server environments
• Administer Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, and Entra ID
• Install and manage Windows OS (Servers and End-User Computing)
• Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance standards
• Collaborate within a hybrid team and communicate with clients and stakeholders
• Produce clear documentation of systems and configurations
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in IT operations (MSP background preferred)
• 3+ years' experience in project implementation for SME clients
• Expertise in:
• Microsoft Azure (VMs, storage, networking, security)
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to work within virtual teams and meet deadlines
• Logical thinker with a detail-oriented approach
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Working Conditions

• Working Hours: UK business hours (9:00am 5:30pm)
• Work Setup: Remote, with a requirement to come into Ortigas once a fortnight; final interview also to be held onsite
• Onsite Requirements: 4 team offsite trips per year (all expenses covered)
