United States onlyPayscale is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our business intelligence team and help build the data foundation that powers insights across our organization. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between raw data and analytics-ready datasets, working closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure our team has reliable, well-modeled data.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in analytics, data engineering, or related technical role
- 1-2 years of experience in an analytics engineer, data engineer, or similar data modeling role
- Expert-level SQL skills including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization
- Strong data modeling experience with demonstrated ability to design dimensional models
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
- Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Experience with data visualization tools and knowledge of best practices (Tableau preferred)
- Experience with Salesforce (or other CRM) and manipulating the corresponding data in a data warehouse
- Proficiency with Git (or similar version control) and CI/CD best practices
