Job Description:
HR Central Benefits Specialist
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Benefit Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to work with our employees who have inquiries or issues relating to their benefit plans.
What You'll Be Doing:
Resolve employee questions, disputes, and issues with benefits programs in a timely manner
Assist and advise employees who are enrolling in benefit plans
Process benefit transactions in the HR systems in a timely manner
Collaborate with other team members and functional areas to get the job done effectively and efficiently
Serve as an informational resource for HR Call Center including but not limited to benefits, onboarding, off boarding and payroll policies and procedures
Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general benefit questions
Works closely with vendors and support units to ensure excellent service and timely resolution for issues
Assists with the open enrollment and new hire process
Ensure proper triage, escalation and effective resolution of more complex inquires to Benefits Manager
Document all customer interactions using Salesforce case management system
Back up other HR Shared Services Representatives, as needed.
Performs additional HR tasks and/or special projects, as assigned.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is desired.
Minimum two years of Benefits experience
Minimum 2 years customer service experience
Strong foundational knowledge of HR, Benefits and Payroll concepts and ability to learn and retain policies and business processes.
Ability to cross-train and perform different job functions within Human Resources
Ability to work any schedule during hours of operation 9:00 am to 8:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday.
Ability to learn and use technology to perform job requirements, including but not limited to MS Office, Workday, CostPoint, TESS, E-verify, BT line, Chat platform, and case management via Service Cloud/Salesforce.
