Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls/System Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to develop, implement, and maintain cost control, and/or provides planning/scheduling function on one or more larger projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage a current group of 2 developers and analysts engaged in the design, development and ongoing maintenance of software applications and tools.
Monitor all matters relating to the technical excellence of the work produced, assure the technical quality of the delivered product(s) and ensures that users’ questions, issues and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Establish priorities and meets regularly with subordinates to review and assess the status of projects, schedules and other job-related responsibilities.
Organize and modifies staff assignments as required to complete specific projects and other activities.
Set goals, objectives and expectations for member of the work group.
Determine responsibilities and makes specific assignments to individuals and to the team itself.
Monitor productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends hiring, promotions and salary actions and recommends training and development for assigned personnel.
Work with the VP of Project Controls, develop and deliver training to the project controls organization for refresher activities, new tools or new releases of existing applications.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BS in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field. 10-12 years related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Proven experience with Power BI and reporting services
SQL and Reporting Services experience is required
Web Development skills
VBA Programming
Reporting and analysis experience
Strong functional knowledge around financial systems and processes
Written and oral communication skills appropriate for a leadership position, including the ability to speak with authority on technical issues in various professional settings – may include telephone, in person, various meeting platforms.
Ability to write complex documents as needed but also to explain for those employees that are not in a technical role.
Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and solving technical problems.

Functional knowledge and experience working with stored procedures
Proficiency in accounting and strong business sense
Ability to facilitate communication and collaboration between IS and Finance as a liaison
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Strong functional knowledge of Project Controls systems and processes – such as WBS development, job costs, and others.
