Growing together.This Technical Product Manager will be accountable for delivery of large-scale PBM modernization initiatives spanning Claims, Eligibility, Source‑of‑Truth platforms, cloud migration, and legacy decommissioning, with measurable outcomes across cost, risk reduction, resiliency, and time-to-value.The Technical Product Manager leads planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi‑year PBM modernization programs supporting Optum Rx's core processing platforms. This role is responsible for orchestrating cross‑functional delivery across Claims SOT, Eligibility SOT, RxClaim modernization, cloud migration, and regulatory initiatives (e.g., F6), ensuring predictable execution, transparency, and business outcomes at scale.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Program Strategy, Planning & DeliveryDefine and maintain integrated program plans, milestones, and dependency maps across Claims, Eligibility, and platform modernization initiativesDrive execution across multiple workstreams using agile and hybrid delivery modelsTrack and report program health, risks, issues, and dependencies to executive stakeholdersCross‑Functional LeadershipLead and influence cross‑functional teams spanning engineering, product, architecture, operations, data, and complianceDrive alignment, resolve blockers, and manage inter‑program dependenciesFinancial, Risk & Dependency ManagementManage program financials, forecasts, and benefits realizationIdentify and mitigate delivery, operational, and technology risksModernization EnablementAccelerate initiatives such as F6, cloud migrations, and SOT adoptionSupport reduction of legacy footprint and measurable cost savingsPerformance Measurement & ReportingDefine and track KPIs tied to schedule predictability, quality, resiliency, and business impactYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:8+ years of product management experience4+ years of experience in IT software engineering delivery4+years of experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and iterative product development as role is responsible for user experience, non‑user function, and functional specifications for the product2+ years of AI experience with AI frameworks and services for decision‑making, automation, and efficiency improvements, and understanding of AI governance, ethical AI practices, and compliance requirements2+ years of experience in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Proven understanding of the healthcare system (authorizations, claims, eligibility, referrals, provider, etc.) in the Optum Tech environmentsExperience and skills in relationship management and active listening as candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with business and technology partnersSolid written and verbal communication skills for articulating product vision and outcome‑based roadmap aligned with business objectives and modernization goalsAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full‑time employment.
