We were tired of hearing that healthcare is broken, so we decided to do something about it. At Nomi Health, we believe the care itself isn’t broken — it’s the business of healthcare that gets in the way. Every year, more than $1 trillion is wasted on paperwork, delays, and middle layers that drive up costs and keep people from the care they need.
We’re rebuilding the system so it works the way it should: clear prices you can trust, faster payments that keep providers focused on patients, and data that helps employers make better decisions. Our work has already touched more than 30 million lives — from local communities in Michigan to some of the largest companies in the country.

At the heart of Nomi Health's mission is a profound commitment to rebuilding the U.S. healthcare system to be more accessible, affordable, and simpler for everyone. Founded in 2019, the company recognized the inherent flaws and complexities within traditional healthcare – the escalating costs, the confusing pathways to care, and the frustrating experiences for patients, providers, and payers alike. Nomi Health's culture is driven by the belief that healthcare shouldn't be a burden. They are not interested in merely repackaging a broken system; instead, their team is dedicated to fundamentally rewiring how care is bought, paid for, and delivered. This involves a direct approach, cutting out unnecessary intermediaries and complexities that inflate costs and create barriers to access. The company fosters a culture of innovation and action, bringing together a diverse team of over 3,000 professionals with expertise in clinical care, technology, finance, and operations to tackle these systemic challenges head-on.

Nomi Health's values are deeply embedded in their operational model. They champion transparency, particularly in pricing and processes, aiming to eliminate the opaque nature of much of the healthcare industry. This commitment extends to their direct contracting with providers, ensuring fair and timely payments, and their development of real-time operating and payment systems. Community impact is another cornerstone of their philosophy. Nomi Health actively works to serve communities across the nation, from rural areas to large urban centers, by providing direct access to essential healthcare services. This was notably demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic, where their model played a crucial role in delivering testing and vaccination services. The company emphasizes a 'digital first' approach, leveraging technology and data analytics to streamline processes, identify cost savings, and improve patient outcomes. Ultimately, Nomi Health's culture is one of relentless problem-solving and a deeply felt responsibility to create a healthcare system that truly serves the people, empowering both those who seek care and those who provide it.
