New Profit is a venture philanthropy organization that backs breakthrough social entrepreneurs who are advancing equity and opportunity in America. Founded in 1998, the organization has invested over $350 million in unrestricted grants and capacity building support to more than 275 high-impact organizations serving over 35 million people across all 50 states. The organization operates through two primary strategies: Portfolio Investing, which provides funding and strategic support to social entrepreneurs, and Field Building, which cultivates a community of cross-sector leaders to advance systems change.

At New Profit, the focus is on catalyzing systemic change by investing in highly effective entrepreneurs who are often overlooked by traditional philanthropy.
