Security Engineer (L5), Security Protocols Engineering

Netflix is seeking a highly responsible, disciplined, and self-motivated security engineer to join their Security Protocols Engineering team. This role will focus on developing and supporting the communication protocols for secure client interactions, ensuring product and partner organizations utilize these protocols effectively. The engineer will work closely with product teams to enhance identity, authentication, and authorization capabilities and provide incident response support.

Requirements

• Expertise in developing security architectures for large-scale distributed systems, including identity and access management and network protocols.
• Ability to rapidly assess a system's architecture and identify vulnerabilities.
• Strong background in secure development lifecycle practices and security testing.
• Experience using OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, and MFA frameworks.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• User-focused approach to security considerations.
