YOUR ROLE AS FULL STACK DEVELOPER

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Project-Based Full-Stack .NET Developer to join our team for an exciting project migrating a website from Umbraco v4 to v15. If you have a strong background in C#, .NET, and Umbraco, and love tackling complex migration challenges, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up Umbraco v15: Create a new Umbraco 15 site with .NET 9 + ASP.NET Core, ensuring all essential components like document types, data types, templates, and content structures are set up correctly.
  • Migrating Content Media: Write scripts to transfer content from Umbraco v4 to v15, remapping and fixing media links as needed, and ensuring a smooth migration process.
  • Frontend Development: Rebuild the frontend using Razor, applying responsive design, ensuring accessibility, and implementing SEO best practices.
  • Testing QA: Conduct testing, refine the site based on feedback, and work with clients to ensure everything runs seamlessly post-launch.
  • Go Live: Deploy the site, manage the DNS switch, and provide post-launch support for bug fixes.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET 8/9, and ASP.NET Core.
  • In-depth experience with Umbraco v10+ and ideally v15, with previous work on migrations from older versions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Razor, Umbraco API, ContentService, and MediaService.
  • Proven ability to write data migration scripts and troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Frontend skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Razor Views.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with uSync, SEO best practices, and managing 301 redirects.
  • Familiarity with hosting on Azure or other cloud environments.
