At Mercury, we are building the banking* stack for startups and doing so with a focus on building a high-craft, simple, and powerful product experience.

The Mercury Dashboard Experience team is obsessively focused on delivering a high quality end-to-end experience for our users. Our team works as the connective tissue across Mercury to define, design, and deliver user facing experiences that cut across product areas. We are responsible for creating simple, powerful, and beautiful product experiences that users love and believe using Mercury should be magical from day one, whether running a single e-commerce side hustle or scaling a unicorn tech company.

We are looking for a product manager who is passionate about building great product experiences and can define the future vision of the Mercury Dashboard. In this role, you’ll be working across the company to understand users, product, and business needs to define new capabilities to support ever-growing business use cases within Mercury. This team looks to maintain a high quality experience for all Mercury products and to evolve that vision forward continuously. In this role you will work as part of Mercury’s Everyday Experience product team.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively discover and define opportunities to level up the craft, strategy, and execution of our Dashboard Experience team
  • Set the direction and define prioritized roadmaps for the team; ensuring we’re focused on work that solves user problems, enables product teams, and maximizes customer value
  • Partner with product teams to ensure their vision aligns with the broader Dashboard Experience strategy while working collaboratively to deliver the optimal customer experience
  • Contribute to the visioning, sequencing, tactics, and execution of a multi-phased overhaul of horizontal Dashboard experiences
  • Independently lead and drive product initiatives for the org
  • Own the Dashboard strategy and execution within Mercury and regularly present your work to company leadership
  • Run team meetings and direct product team operations collaboratively with your engineering counterpart, tech leads, designers, user researchers, and data scientist
  • Work in ambiguity and be able to set and achieve priorities that find the perfect balance between both user and business needs
  • Partner with Mercury’s design team to define and enforce a set of quality and craft
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative data and derive insights that inform product work; communicate these with the team

We’re looking for a motivated product leader who cares deeply about craft and feels energized by opportunities to work across product teams to deliver a cohesive experience for our users. A successful candidate will likely have:

  • 5+ years of relevant product management experience, preferably working with horizontal product and/or platform teams that are accountable for delivering a quality user experience. Bonus points if you’ve worked on cohesive dashboard experiences in fintech.
  • The ability to operate independently to turn ambiguous and complex horizontal problems into concrete vision, strategy, and execution plans.
  • Enthusiasm about the idea of working with talented (and opinionated) design and engineering peers.
  • The ability to take complex problems from end to end (contributing to research, design, engineering, GTM, and stakeholder management) autonomously.

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees (any location): $173,600 - $204,200 USD
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD 158,000 - 185,800
