Job Description

Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Research Biostatistician, PCCTC! We’re looking for a dynamic professional to support statistical activities across all phases of clinical development and enhance the data modeling workflows of our Data Science Team. Our study portfolio contains a mixture of academic IITs and sponsored studies which include data submissions to FDA and/or other regulators. An ideal candidate will have experience with sample size considerations, statistical analysis plans, CDISC (e.g. SDTM and ADaM) specifications, and programmatic execution of tables, listings, and figures (TLFs). Our organization is rich with R software developers; candidates with deep clinical SAS experience looking to transition to R workflows are welcome to apply!

Role Overview:

  • Meet with study investigators and/or sponsors to guide statistical design of clinical trials.
  • Collaborate on statistical analyses and data modeling.
  • Implement and maintain statistical programming pipelines.
  • Align implementation with the vision that data pipelines are rigorously reviewed and tested (e.g., according to software development testing standards)
  • Craft efficient and reusable software solutions for clinical data modeling and TLF generation.
  • Contribute to manuscripts/reporting of result.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in biostatistics or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in clinical trial statistical designs and regulatory-facing data submissions.
  • Familiarity with best practices for the use of version control systems (e.g. git/GitHub) across teams and organizations.
  • Experience in R or SAS programming for data wrangling, statistical analysis, and visualization.
  • Content matter experience in oncologic clinical trials is preferred.

Core Skills:

  • Broad-based and detailed knowledge of Human Subjects Protection, Good Clinical Practice, FDA requirements, clinical research-related federal regulations, HIPAA.
  • A strong ability and understanding on how to collect, analyze, interpret, and prepare data for presentation and solve problems.
  • Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure unforeseen issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels in a confident, professional manner.
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to MSK's vision, mission, and values.
