As part of the wider Product Management team, reporting to the SVP Product Management for our Questionmark-branded product lines, you will work directly with developers organized into agile scrum teams to ensure that the teams’ backlogs are aligned with the needs of the business and with our customers.

Working alongside Product Managers, Designers, and System Architects, you will be responsible for ensuring that teams understand the product vision and implement it effectively. You will be a customer advocate, with a Design Thinking approach you will contribute to the design and development of new features, using personas and journey maps to enable the agile teams to create solutions that meet customer needs.

You will play a pivotal role in synchronized planning events that are used to agree priorities and commitments for each planning interval with agile teams that are organized across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will drive the creation of user stories, clarify the details, and assist with breaking down the work and managing dependencies.
  • During planning events you will prioritize the agile teams’ backlogs and ensure time is allocated for enabler stories, technical debt, and bug fixing, balancing the needs of customers with internal stakeholders.
  • You will work with the agile teams on a day-to-day basis to ensure that their priorities remain aligned to the agreed objectives. You will help identify problems that need to be solved and prioritize those that are most valuable.
  • You will accept stories as complete, including validating acceptance criteria and holding teams to account with respect to product quality.
  • You will take part in agile team ceremonies.
  • You will work closely with customers and other stakeholders to ensure continuous feedback.
  • You will monitor progress, risks, and dependencies and communicate them to relevant stakeholders and leadership.
  • Working with the other members of the Product Management team, you will also contribute to the Learnosity Product Vision and Roadmap.
    • You will communicate the product vision and roadmap to the agile development teams.

You will have:

  • 3-5 years experience working in a product owner role with agile development teams (experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework, SAFe, or similar will be an advantage)
  • a customer-focused mindset
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • the ability to motivate engineering teams to create best-in-class software solutions
  • the ability to solve complex problems and make difficult decisions and be comfortable working with data, have the ability to gather relevant data, and make data-driven decisions
