Key Responsibilities:Data Governance Strategy and Planning:Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data governance objectives, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Develop and maintain a data governance roadmap outlining initiatives, milestones, and timelines for implementation.Data Policy and Standards Development:Assist in the development and documentation of data governance policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Work with stakeholders to establish data classification schemes, data ownership, and data stewardship roles and responsibilities.Data Quality Management:Conduct data profiling and analysis to assess the quality, accuracy, and completeness of data assets.Identify data quality issues, root causes, and remediation strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.Metadata Management:Define and maintain metadata standards and frameworks to ensure consistent and accurate metadata capture and documentation.Facilitate the implementation of metadata management tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives.Data Privacy and Security:Work closely with the information security team to establish data privacy and security policies, controls, and procedures.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards related to data privacy and security.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related areas, preferably in a business analyst role.Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT).Experience working with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, IBM InfoSphere).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and propose effective solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Information Management Professional) are a plus.
