Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management for the property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance of properties, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Accounting and Reporting:
- Manage the accounting team and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory filings in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Coordinate audits, reviews, and inspections by external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, executives, and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with X years specifically in property management or real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and taxation related to real estate.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel; experience with property management software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of property management operations, leasing processes, and industry trends.
