A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of a business's products or services in a specified region or geographical area and reports to the Head of Sales. The regional sales manager ensures profitable growth in sales, and revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team.

Your specific responsibilities and duties will include:
• Create team sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives. • Manage significant opportunity pipeline to guarantee success and regional growth.• Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth• Counsel, train, and guide direct reports to drive organization plans for achieving sales goals, Identify hiring needs, and select and train new salespeople.• Hire, train, set goals and monitor the performance of direct reports and report on team sales results.• Execute business development activity to strategically grow the new customer base through prospecting and cold calling. Leverage a repeatable sales process to drive to closure. • Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.• Keep accurate and complete information on the Salesforce CRM system including prospecting activity, closing, sales pipeline and forecasting, close ratios and market intelligence.• Research and utilize industry tools (LinkedIn and other business social media apps, Amplemarket, ZoomInfo or other online databases and websites) to identify opportunities for business growth. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering) regarding existing and new clients to identify and resolve client concerns. Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.•The role requires business trips to participate in client meetings, marketing events, trade shows and company events.• Responsible for the team’s Sales KPIs (exceed: sales targets, sales activity, and keep sales pipeline in the CRM updated and organized).

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or Senior Sales Role.
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Salesforce Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with math.
  • Strong negotiation skillsAbility to motivate staff and lead a team.
  • The right level of entrepreneurship, creativity, and commitment.
  • Maritime domain experience is a plus.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field.

Expanding the scope across 40 distinct commodities, including gases, liquids, and dry bulk, Kpler ventured into new areas of the supply chain to provide a more complete picture of supply & demand with freight and inventory data, as well as analytics offerings with research and news.

expanding horizons: markets and acquisitions

The evolution of Kpler was punctuated by strategic mergers and acquisitions. The acquisition of ClipperData (2021) and JBC Energy (2022) fortified its foothold in the commodities and data sectors. The integration of COR-e (2022) facilitated entry into the European power market.

In 2023, Kpler made significant strides by acquiring the two leading ship tracking and maritime analytics providers MarineTraffic and FleetMon. Kpler now provides essential insights into the movements and activities of vessels across seas, oceans and rivers. This enables companies to optimise their supply chain, monitor cargo shipments, enhance maritime safety, and make informed decisions in a rapidly changing global market.
