The QA Specialist works on exciting projects with KnowBe4’s courseware development team. This role is to test course functionality and review course content. Attention to detail and thinking outside the box are necessary in order to identify issues that need to be fixed. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other testers, engineers, and eLearning developers in a fast paced, cutting-edge, agile development environment creating excellent and fun eLearning assets. Providing feedback to team members that contribute to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Test course builds, write up bug reports, track bugs and re-test fixes until the fix passes
- Review and edit course scripts, descriptions, storyboards, and other deliverables
- Collaborate with Support, QA and Courseware development team on issues that require research to figure out the fix to a problem/bug/issue
- Review graphics/art department deliverables to ensure the quality and adherence as storyboard dictates
- Communication with the team on these issues and recommended handlings
- Stay on top of current browser and operating system patches changes and brief dev/QA as needed
- Provide feedback in a collaborative way that helps to make all of the departments in courseware thrive
- Take an active role in creating and supporting content that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive as outlined in the KnowBe4 DEI statement
- Ensure content is Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) compliant so that our content is accessible to all users
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in eLearning QA
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Fluent in English
- Highly skilled with computers and able to get around a cloud-based directory
- Able to correct others while, at the same time, encouraging them to improve their skills
- Capable of detecting errors/bugs that might require intensive testing to find
