We are HRL Laboratories, a world-renowned research and development institution with a rich history of innovation that stretches back to 1948 with the founding of Hughes Research Laboratories by the visionary Howard Hughes. In 1997, we were formally established as HRL Laboratories, LLC, a private company jointly owned by The Boeing Company and General Motors.
