Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Lead to join our Smart Packaging team. The Project Lead will be responsible for the successful execution of smart packaging projects, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the use of quality tools to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  • Coordinate and manage a team of engineers and subcontractors to execute smart packaging projects efficiently.
  • Lead onsite preliminary engineering activities, including installation review/management and vision system elementary design.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers in the implementation of templated designs.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing any issues that arise and collaborating with Smart Packaging leadership as needed.
  • Gather and analyze design requirements from clients, providing feedback to inform future project developments.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the smart packaging sector.
  • Mentor project managers and designers on project-related tasks and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ College Diploma in engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on smart packaging or related technologies.
  • Strong technical background in Commissioning, PLC programming, SCADA, Vision Systems, and troubleshooting is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in coaching and guiding engineering staff.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
