Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with a passion for quality assurance in high-stakes financial systems to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our cryptocurrency exchange platform. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify, report, and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless trading experience for our users. This position is ideal for someone who understands the crypto space and wants to make an impact in a high-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts (manual and automated) to validate software functionality, security, and performance.

• Automation Development: Build, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts to streamline testing processes, focusing on API, functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects, working with the development team to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.

• Performance Testing: Ensure the platform's performance and scalability meet high-frequency trading demands and optimize response times.

• Security Testing: Test security protocols to ensure platform integrity, data protection, and regulatory compliance specific to the cryptocurrency industry.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high standards of software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Regression & Release Testing: Perform comprehensive regression testing before releases and hotfixes, ensuring no new issues are introduced.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test cases, defect logs, and testing processes to support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in fintech or crypto environments, with a proven record of high-quality work in fast-paced environments.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with test management and automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, and API testing frameworks.

• Automation Skills: Hands-on experience in building and executing automated test scripts for APIs, UIs, and integration testing.

• Crypto & Fintech Knowledge: Understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and trading principles is a strong plus.

• Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to finding and reporting defects.

• Collaboration Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and align on testing objectives and timelines.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for custom test scripts.

• Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing practices, particularly in crypto and financial applications.

• CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and familiarity with DevOps processes to streamline QA workflows.
  
  
  Testing Focus:
• Manual Testing: The primary focus is on manual testing, requiring experienced candidates with a strong understanding of testing processes, exploratory testing, and attention to detail.
• Automation Testing: Candidates should also have experience with automation testing to complement manual efforts.
• Manual QA Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in manual QA.
• Automation Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Puppeteer is required to handle the automation aspects effectively.
• Other Skills: Strong understanding of test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Soft Skills:
• Analytical Thinking: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with the team.
• Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team environment.
• Technical Skills (for Automation):
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in both Python and JavaScript for writing test scripts.
• Version Control: Experience with Git.
• CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with integrating automation tests in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Educational Background:
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
