We are actively sourcing for an experienced and highly motivated Solution Support Engineer to join our Professional Services development group. This role consists of troubleshooting, maintaining, debugging, and administering custom applications, software tools and systems for our Mid-Market and Enterprise clients, including:

  • Administering back-end systems, including different type of servers, hypervisors, operating systems, middleware, and custom application software.
  • Monitor PS production environments: investigate, troubleshoot and identify software faults and system issues.
  • Administer, deploy, and support software and customizations developed for clients.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental troubleshooting efforts.

The candidate will be expected to interact with customers over the phone, via web conferences, and in person (occasional travel may be required) and will often need to explain technical solutions to non-technical people, so good verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to articulate an issue, identify solution options, and communicate the best course of action to the client; document the solution requirements and features in a Statement of Work for customer review and acceptance.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Able to switch between several projects/tasks each week.
  • Must display excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • The ability to work with a client to gather business requirements, determine level of effort for a project, and accurately estimate development and delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Linux/Unix, RedHat/CentOS related system deployment, administration, scripting, and services.
  • 2+ years of development experience with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Python, PERL etc. and associated software development IDEs, toolkits, and frameworks.
  • Proficient with SQL database systems (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres, etc.) including queries, table design, optimization, and replication.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and transport protocols such as FTP/FTPS/SFTP, WGET, Amazon S3, Dropbox API.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the job across the United States. Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

All compensation and benefits are subject to the requirements and restrictions set forth in the applicable plan documents and any written agreements between the parties.

The US base salary range for this role is below. $60,000—$144,000 USD
