To support our people, our business, and customers we are searching for someone that is interested in joining the Technology Division as a Tech Community & Communication Intern to support our Global Technology Team and our Global Community Manager who will also act as your supervisor and mentor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in entering the field of Technology, Community Engagement who has an interest in Project Management, Internal Communications, Human Resources, Learning & Development or simply working in a very fast moving and complex international organisation.

Please note that there is not the possibility to write a thesis as part of the internship.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Community Enablement team in implementing initiatives to build the culture and community of the Elsevier Technology Team.
  • Support with administrative tasks and answering queries for the Technology Team.
  • Support the project management of aligned tasks/communications for the Technology Team.
  • Supporting the Enablement team in the organization of internal, external events and large/international external Technology events.
  • Be part of an international team support the global roll-out of onboarding
  • Managing smaller, ad hoc projects in line with the Community Enablement or learning and development team.
  • Assist with the design and testing of our internal sites

What you should bring

  • Advanced proficiency in English language
  • University Master’s or Bachelor Student currently studying Business/Communications/Marketing
  • Drive to follow-through on tasks until completion; hands on mentality;
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work under (time) pressure;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Computer literate (MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel), open to using new online tools;
  • Good communication, written and verbal with strong inter-personal skills;
  • Previous experience working in a corporate environment is an advantage;
