If you’ve worked in SaaS-Sales in healthcare, education or research, this could be the next step in your career.

About us

At Elsevier, we’re all about connecting healthcare professionals and students with the clinical and educational resources they need to make a difference aiming for the benefit of every patient. Our Account Management team is at the heart of that mission — working closely with clients to understand their goals and deliver solutions that truly help improving patient and educational outcomes. We’re a down-to-earth group of experienced sales professionals that values teamwork, innovation, and always pushing ourselves to improve — in an environment where everyone feels supported and included.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for a dedicated Account Manager responsible for New Sales and Renewals. You’ll be managing a portfolio of clinical solutions for hospitals and educational resources for universities and nursing schools across your own region in a large part of Germany. This is a chance to be part of something meaningful — helping healthcare and education institutions stay ahead with the latest tools and content.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring subscriptions are renewed and strong client engagement

  • Developing account strategies to generate new business and grow revenue with white-space accounts

  • Spotting opportunities for growth within existing customers and collaborating with sales colleagues to convert those

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and working closely with internal teams

  • Tracking performance and keeping clients and leadership in the loop with clear reporting

What We’re Looking For:

  • University degree in business, healthcare administration, or similar. However, candidates with significant relevant professional experience will also be considered

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Familiarity with solutions-selling techniques like MEDDPICC, Franklin Covey, or Miller-Heiman — or a willingness to learn and apply those

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication skills — you can confidently engage with c-level and present clearly

  • Strategic thinker who can juggle multiple priorities and accounts without missing a beat

  • The ideal candidate must be located in Germany and possess the flexibility to travel across central, nothern, and eastern Germany.

Why Elsevier?

We genuinely care about creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. That means supporting flexible working (hybrid and flexible hours), promoting a healthy work/life balance, and offering plenty of perks like:

  • Generous holiday allowance

  • Capital-forming benefits to support your personal savings

  • Time off to volunteer and support causes that matter to you

  • Access to learning and development resources, employee discounts, and more

  • Work from home or from one of our office - you choose

  • Strong base salary and a bonus opportunity related to individual sales target achievement
