OVERVIEW:

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seekingexperienced analytics leaders to work inone of two positions in the key business areasbelow. Candidate applications will be considered based on skills and experience as they relate to the needs of each area.

  • Sr Mgr, Analytics - Media: In this role, the Sr. Manager would oversee the Enterprise Media Analytics team as well as the Dick’s retail media network – driving Mixed Media Modeling, insights, forecasts and reporting in support of driving the most effective holistic media performance across both strategies. The Sr. Manager will be the key centralized leader to optimize media tools, learnings and process across both groups to drive stronger business results in totality.

  • Sr Mgr, Analytics - Loyalty & Personalization: In this marketing analytics role, the teammate will focus on the measurement of marketing to our known customers, specifically supporting our loyalty program and targeted marketing channels, such as email, text messages, Push notifications, App content and Website touchpoints. role will partner with the marketing teams to increase customer lifetime value and deliver personalized content.

Lead analytics and testing functions, managing a team of analysts, to drive the evolution of a Best-in-Class sports company. This position is responsible for leveraging analytics to identify business growth opportunities across the experiences. This individual will lead a team to uncover opportunities and work closely with multiple business leadership and the technology organization to communicate and action analytics, as well as design and lead testing and attendant result presentation. This individual will serve as a visionary in the analytics space, identifying forward-looking insights to drive strategy.

As mentioned above, you may work in one of the following key business areas within Analytics:

  • Loyalty & Personalization

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sr. Manager of Analytics owns multiple workspaces/Business domains (across Technology and Marketing teams)end-to-end, acting as the connector and strategic guide for managers and analysts across domains and initiatives.This person is responsible for managing a complex matrixed team of team to deliver impactful, strategic analytics & insights that realize value for the organization.

As a people leader, the Sr. Manager of Analytics demonstrates a keen ability to guide strategy and act as a data led advisor to Executive leadership, always thinking end to end and omni-channel. The Sr. Manager sets goals, priorities and processes related to Analytics as a function and in support of covered domains while overseeing multiple initiatives, flexing priorities as business needs shift and serving as a point of escalation. This individual has demonstrated deep proficiency across all analytical methods, and guides, coaches and mentors junior analysts to develop high quality, timely analytical deliverables, while also guiding their career development. In addition to professional and team development, the Group Manager guides engagement and structure within the broader team.

Business Stakeholder & Strategy Support

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, including executive levels.

  • Help guide and shape strategic business decisions based on data, acting as the translator between data and deep insights to action on.

  • Support will include proactive discovery and goal setting, reactive root cause analysis or measurement, and ad hoc support for trend or metric interpretation.

Analytics & Measurement

  • Lead the analytics support for Marketing business partners through the development of executive-facing deliverables, with succinct storylines and project plans.

  • Work with business leaders to develop actionable insights and to translate analytics into meaningful business strategies.

  • Test both business strategies and technology improvements to ensure positive business results.

  • Manage an ongoing testing portfolio and prioritization for the domain, presenting key findings, testing summary, and communication of the testing portfolio to key executives.

  • Analyze and communicate test results cross-functionally and to leadership to guide investments decisions.

  • Pioneer new data sets and concepts and drive the creation of common metrics with goals and benchmarks for application, further partnering with technology and reporting teams to drive data democratization and usage of metrics across the enterprise to leverage for effective performance tracking.

  • Leverage common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, Databricks, GCP, Excel), and/or vendor platforms (Facebook, Instagram, DV360) to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions.

  • Partner with Data Science teams to develop/manage Customer Lifetime Value and attribution models to guide future looking opportunity and apply measurement where testing environments are more obscure.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage a team of analysts, placing each teammate in the best position for them individually, and the team as a whole, to maximize value for the team and organization.

  • Identify teammate strengths and opportunities, providing open and honest feedback on a regular basis, in order to elevate individuals.

  • Develop and coordinate the growth of specialized skills such as analytics, testing and technological implementation to enable the team to successfully achieve goals.

  • As needed, develop business cases to secure additional resourcing to meet capacity.

Industry Knowledge & Benchmarking

  • May serve as the primary vendor relationship manager for analytical toolsets.

  • Benchmark DICK’S against best-in-class analytics organization to identify strengths and opportunities for DICK’S, keeping up-to-date on current trends in the industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree

  • Testing and Optimization tools and best practices

  • Experience with data model development/design, regression analysis

  • Databricks

  • Experience with Adobe suite

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level

  • Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Liberal Arts or Related Field

General Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience

  • SQL, R, Python, experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI)

  • Testing and Optimization Tools

  • GCP or Azure Experience

Managerial Experience:

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience

Targeted Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $158,800.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
