The Role

As we continue to expand our reach as leaders in External Data Management, Demyst seeks strategic sales talent to join our dynamic team. This is an empowered IC role that will have the full force of the company supporting as you build pipeline, conduct discovery, gather and scope requirements, cultivate client champions and sponsors, run POCs, and close new business. Your activities and the conversations you have in-market will have a lasting impact on our company. Our platform and team already support leading enterprises; what we build next and how we position our capabilities will in part be driven by the next tranche of enterprise customers you help us bring onboard.

You should have experience and be motivated to become an expert in the external data ecosystem, data platforms, and potential solutions that we might power. You’ll be relied upon for your entrepreneurial nature, technical aptitude, collaborative style, and ability to engage with and advocate for stakeholders of our enterprise clients across verticals.

Demyst is a remote first business, with staff situated across the globe. This role requires significant travel within the US, and as such, you will need to be based in the United States, within commutable distance of a major airport to facilitate travel.

Responsibilities

  • Scope Problems: Deeply understand and scope client pain points, particularly in the areas of driving growth and harnessing data, and iteratively develop a potential solution with clients, including the right data, the right data workflows, the right end solution, and the right implementation plan
  • Drive Growth: Take charge of accelerating Demyst's established presence within the region, focusing primarily on acquisition of new logos and growth of tier 1 accounts
  • Manage Complex Enterprise Relationships: Develop an intimate knowledge of your clients and prospects, spending significant time virtually and onsite with them. Quantify and track benefits. Traverse all levels of client organizations.
  • Be a Player-Coach: Lead efforts to support your accounts and support the team as a coach and leader in everyone’s efforts to become exceptional client leaders. Naturally switch between 'doing' when it plays to your strengths and delegating when you need support, technical or otherwise, driving the adoption of new methods (AI, client workshops, creative outbound, events, etc.) to improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and closing deals >$250k ACV and ideally 7+ figures
  • Startup Mindset: Experience in a startup environment is a plus, demonstrating your adaptability, resourcefulness, and willingness to embrace ambiguity.
  • Trusted Advisor: Demonstrated experience operating at the executive level with clients, building a strong trusted advisor relationship, with the ability to challenge and influence clients globally.
  • Passionate about the ability for data and analytics to solve business problems for numerous types of clients.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex products and problems into a clear aligned vision, as well as alignment to Demyst core value proposition
