We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who brings mainframe (COBOL) development experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and collaborates effectively with QA, Business Analysts, and customers

We are looking for Architect -Senior Software Development Engineerwho will:

• You will design, develop, and maintain moderate to complex batch applications using COBOL and JCL/PROCs.
• You will apply basic data modeling concepts and support data integration and data architecture patterns following best practices.
• You will collaborate closely with QA engineers to define test scenarios.
• You will partner with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, implementable technical solutions and quickly resolve defects.
• You will analyze and troubleshoot issues and implement durable fixes.
• You will actively participate in cross‑team meetings focused on release planning, solution design, and risk/issue resolution.
• You will work effectively with client support teams and implementation architects to resolve application issues and support production environments.
• You will maintain a strong focus on organization and follow‑through to meet multiple weekly milestones across concurrent projects.
• You will demonstrate flexibility to support extended or irregular work hours when project or production needs require it.
• You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, team learning, and knowledge sharing.
• You will establish the long-term technical direction for F5-based traffic management and application protection services

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Degree in Computer Information Science or Technology, or related technical field.
• Work Experience:8-10yrs
• Atleast 4+ years previous COBOL development experience.
• Previous exposure to Automation Frameworks.
• Experience in research and analysis, project planning, and implementation is a plus.
• Experience with any of the following is a plus: PERL, UNIX, DB2, .NET, Python, Oracle.
• Hands-on experience in COBOL development in a mainframe environment.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals and experience working within large, complex systems.
• Experience collaborating with QA teams and Business Analysts across the full development lifecycle.
• Comfortable and professional interacting with customers (verbal and written) to discuss requirements, issues, and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously, stay organized, and consistently meet frequent milestones and deadlines.
• Proven success performing effectively in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong teamwork, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
