Our product & team

This role is within the team that designs and develops CSQ Quote & Order, a cutting-edge order management and quoting platform. Built using the latest technology, our platform modernizes industries like telecommunications and banking.

How we work

Our team follows the Scrum agile framework. We organise ourselves into functional streams with each stream made up of multiple small cross-discipline squads who deliver product capability. Each squad conducts their own agile ceremonies and uses Shortcut (https://www.shortcut.com/) as their work management tool.

Our product is super modern, adopting a microservice architecture for scalability and flexibility, while using Kubernetes to orchestrate our containers. We deploy onto cloud platforms (AWS & Azure), which are built/maintained by a state-of-the-art gitops/infrastructure-as-code pipeline. All our code is managed using Git, undergoing peer review before we test, package and deploy through our CI/CD pipelines.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master who prides themselves on their outstanding delivery and people skills, who can help us to deliver successfully on our ambitious and industry-leading roadmap.

What will you do

You will be responsible for: working with several squads to deliver fantastic product outcomes; removing blockers to progress; driving agile ceremonies; and helping us continuously improve as a team.

Some examples of what you will be doing are:

  • Lead and facilitate key activities for the seamless end-to-end delivery of software (product) releases, from inception to production launch.

  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to deliver within defined scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

  • Review and maintain project plans, including tracking progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on sprint progress, potential risks, and any delays to delivery timelines.

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensuring clear communication and alignment between squads.

  • Identify and address risks proactively, escalating issues when necessary and implementing strategies to minimise impact on delivery timelines and outcomes.

  • Coach teams on Agile principles, empowering them to self-organize and continuously enhance their ways of working for improved velocity and quality.

Requirements:

  • Experienced working with Agile teams as an Iteration Manager or Scrum Master, fully embracing and championing Agile Scrum values.

  • Exceptional risk management and mitigations skills, ensuring smooth and successful product delivery.

  • Ability to energize, guide and cultivate a positive teamwork-driven environment.

  • Fantastic communication and facilitation skills, with a knack for fostering clear and positive connections across teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Work from anywhere: CSG has a global policy called "Flexibility First" that allows employees to work from wherever they feel most productive. The Quote & Order team does not maintain a dedicated office space, so your position will be 100% remote with the exception of several in-person workshops during the year (in Bali – see below – and Melbourne).

  • Twice-yearly workshops in Bali: Twice a year the whole Quote & Order team gets together in Bali, Indonesia for dedicated in-person time including team presentations, hackathon sessions, training and team-building activities.
