Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Software Development to lead our engineering teams at CSG Systems, Inc. This role will drive the successful delivery of high-quality software products, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in alignment with CSG's leadership principles.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, promoting a collaborative and high-performing environment.
    * Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
    * Ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting deadlines and delivering within budget.
    * Collaborate with product management, QA, and other cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications.
    * Implement and maintain robust Quality Assurance (QA) processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products.
    * Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the development lifecycle.
    * Champion Agile Principles and Agile Project Management best practices within the team.
    * Foster influential communications within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
    * Actively participate in the professional development of team members, including mentoring youth and fostering growth opportunities.
    * Embody and promote CSG Leadership Keystone values: Culture, Energize, Results, Teams, and Vision.

Demonstrated curiosity and hands‑on experimentation with AI tools in an engineering context

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    * Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
    * Proven experience with Agile Principles and Agile Project Management methodologies.
    * Solid understanding and experience with Waterfall Model.
    * Demonstrated experience in Risk Management within software development projects.
    * Strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) and Software Product Testing.
    * Exceptional Leadership and Mentoring Youth skills.
    * Excellent Influential Communications, both written and verbal.
    * Familiarity with CSG Leadership Keystone: Culture, CSG Leadership Keystone: Energize, CSG Leadership Keystone: Results, CSG Leadership Keystone: Teams, and CSG Leadership Keystone: Vision.
    * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
