Key Responsibilities
Product Backlog Management & Execution
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand initiative goals and strategic product priorities.
- Translate high-level integration initiatives into detailed user stories and wiring requirements, with clear and testable acceptance criteria, in partnership with engineering.
- Collaborate with your Product Manager to manage, refine, and prioritize the integrations backlog for one or more agile development teams, ensuring alignment with roadmap priorities and PDLC standards.
- Partner with engineering and design to ensure timely delivery of integrations and features, with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and institutional value.
- Represent the customer and product voice in team ceremonies, ensuring higher education workflows are at the forefront of integration design.
Requirements Clarification & Team Enablement
- Ensure engineering teams understand both the “what” and “why” of each integration, maximizing execution efficiency.
- Define and uphold the “Definition of Done” for integration User Stories, ensuring quality, testability, and readiness for delivery.
Roadmap Execution & Continuous Improvement
- Support the execution of the integrations roadmap, ensuring Epics and Stories are delivered on time and to standard.
- Monitor product and integration health post-release, iterating on coverage, error rates, and institutional feedback.
Implementation & Value Maximization
- Enable Customer Success teams by providing integration documentation, requirements clarity, and deployment guidance.
- Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to gather integration feedback and ensure solutions meet institutional needs.
- Step in flexibly to support implementations, sales enablement, or feature demos when deeper integration expertise is required.
Internal Stakeholder Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders (Customer Success, Sales, Support) regarding integration features, releases, and roadmaps.
- Capture insights from institutional and internal feedback loops to inform backlog refinement and roadmap evolution.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Higher Education Integrations Expertise: Direct experience working with one or more Student Information Systems (SIS):

- Oracle PeopleSoft
- Workday Student
- Product Ownership Proficiency: 1–3 years as a Product Owner (or hybrid PO/BA) in an Agile environment, with a proven track record of backlog ownership and delivering software.
- Integration Requirements Writing: Experience authoring detailed technical requirements for APIs, database integrations, and system-to-system wiring.
- Agile Execution: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (backlog refinement, story writing, acceptance criteria definition, sprint execution).
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to communicate across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and institutional stakeholders.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Data-driven mindset with the ability to break down complex workflows and design clear integration solutions.
- EdTech Domain Aptitude: Experience with SaaS platforms in higher education is required. Understanding of university operational workflows a plus.
