Retail Technology is responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank and Bankwest Retail – from product platforms for our customer, to essential tools within our business.

The Retail Technology Centre of Excellence (CoE) team is responsible for ensuring that Retail Technology has the strategy, portfolio and processes in place to help deliver the Group’s vision and maintain our reputation as a leader in technology and innovation. We are the front door for all Retail Technology initiatives, and we manage the Retail portfolio. The team focusses on strategy, risk, finance, data & analytics, portfolio management, initiative development, change management, communications and events.

The Retail Technology CoE Lead is a part of the leadership team and has regular interactions with senior executives across the Group.

Reporting to the Technology Lead, Retail Technology COE and working closely with the Executive GM, Retail Technology, this role is critical to developing and driving the Retail Technology Strategy and priorities, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and new ways of working and strong corporate governance and operational effectiveness across the domain. Some of the key areas you will be providing support and leadership across include:

• Developing and driving execution of the Retail Technology strategy and priorities
• Embedding new ways of working and a culture of continuous improvement
• Ensure appropriate governance, including reporting and agenda management
• Prepare materials for business, risk and governance forums
• Prepare executive documents including Board papers, ELT, RLT and TLT
• Engage with senior stakeholders across Retail Technology
• Work with leadership team to execute on our priorities against key measures of success
• Lead the annual and quarterly planning for Retail technology

We’re interested in hearing from experienced senior leaders with:

• Experience in technology initiatives and understanding of the latest trends in technology.
• Strong people management, ability to prioritise, strategic thinking and challenge status quo.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives and targets to tight deadlines.
• Proven track record in facilitating and influencing senior leaders.
• Strong corporate governance expertise and demonstrated strategic and commercial judgement.
• Experience running forums, projects and preparing written reports and material with the ability to clearly articulate high-level ideas.
