Technology is responsible for the world leading application of technology across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business.

As product owner our Data Engineering Squad, you will be required to setting up the roadmap for Group Security Data Platform to ingest data(structured and unstructured) from organisations security telemetry data with additional data assets to provide security controls and services that are leveraged across the Group.

Do work that matters:

Reporting to the crew lead you will:

• Define the squad product vision, goals and roadmap aligned with the Group Security Data products and Platforms to deliver market leading products and features resulting in an outstanding customer experience.
• Developing and designing data engineering solutions for products and platforms to address identified needs or opportunities and build and prioritise the Squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a squad of team members including data engineers, solution designers, quality engineers and BAs, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
• Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.

• Are passionate about building industry leading group data products from scratch using sophisticated data platforms and technical products
• Are ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business and delivery objectives and minimise risks
• Are capable of creating both technology blueprints and engineering roadmaps, for a multi- year data transformational journey, with a proven track record of delivering at pace with high quality
• Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex data problems with an Agility focused mindset.

Technical skills:

• Strong experience in delivering data and Analytics projects with previous data and analytics design and delivery experience integrating from various transactional sources thru a data warehouse and modelling into analytical tools.
• Must have experience in Delivering large data and analytics projects.
• Must have experience in data modelling and mapping.
• Experience with AWS and or public cloud infrastructure.
• Adept at defining and driving technology roadmaps and execute relevant strategies within the domain or reference architecture and help foster an excellent engineering culture that is open, safe, productive and fun for everyone!
• Advanced commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Exposure to Ab Initio, Alation, Omnia and Teradata desirable.
