Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)
The SSD team at College Board is a close knit, dedicated team of 28 people with a passion for helpingtest-takerswith disabilitiesfrom around the world receiveappropriate accommodationson College Board tests. The team is committed to providing exceptional decision making, education, and outreach to support test-takers, school personnel, and family members/guardians. We pride ourselves on being thorough and knowledgeable by staying current in the field. We also work closely with various College Board teams including but not limited to ACO, AP, SAT Suite of Assessments, and our State and District Partners.
Aboutthe Opportunity
You will be instrumental inCollegeBoard’s missionto clear a path for all students to own their future. CollegeBoard provides accommodationstotest-takers with disabilities so they can demonstrate their knowledge and skills.Your role will ensure that College Board exams accurately reflect the test-taker’s aptitude/achievement rather than their disability.
AClinicalManagerisan integralmemberofa team ofprofessionals responsible for ensuringthattest-takers with disabilities haveaccess toallCollege Board tests.Under the direction of the Directorsof Clinical Review,youassistwith all activities associated with evaluating students’ disability documentationtodetermineeligibility foraccommodationsonCollege Board tests (i.e., SAT Suite of Assessments; AP, CLEP). Additionally, the Clinical Managercommunicateswith schoolpersonnel, test-takers,families/guardians, and other College Board departmentsregardingdocumentation and accommodations,andserves as a resource in understanding psycho-educational assessment.
In this role you will:
Documentation Review and Determination(80%)
Conduct cross program reviews of documentation from students seekingaccommodationson College Board tests.
Produceaccurateand well-reasoned eligibility determinationsthat ensure access to College Board testsfortest-takerswith disabilities.
Outreach& Customer Service(15%)
Handledirect verbal and written communications with secondary schools, education professionals (counselors, psychologists, etc.),parents/guardians, andtest-takersrelevant to decisions, documentation, and accommodations.
Listencarefully and with empathy toparentand test-takerconcerns. Educatethe callerabout the review and appeal processes.
Provideguidance on howaccommodations areprovidedon CollegeBoardteststoensurethe test-takersneeds arebeing addressedby theapprovedaccommodations.
Maintain communication with relevant professional organizations to highlightCollegeBoard's mission to serve test-takers with disabilities.
Collaboration,Consultation and Technology(5%)
Usevariousdatabasesto gather relevant student data.
Consultand collaboratewith colleagues from both intra and interdisciplinary professions(psychology,neuropsychology, audiology, vision experts, medical experts).
Provideand receivefeedback to ensure the effectiveness, qualityassuranceand efficiency of the eligibility process.
Producematerials that provide information relevant to accommodations on College Board tests, including presentations, print and web-based educational tools, and resources to be used for training and professional development.
Facility and openness to exploring and using technology, innovation, and AI.
About You
Education/Experience: Psy.D./Ph.D. degree in relevant psychological and educationarea.
4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level.
Knowledge of secondary school issues/trends related totest-takerswith disabilities.
Extensive knowledge of assessments andprocedures as theyrelate to the determination of various disabilities andappropriate accommodations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to team members, other professionals, educators,test-takers, and parents/guardians.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, instructional/training skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Zoom, Slack.
Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously and prioritize judiciously.
Enjoyanddemonstratean ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Strongorientation towardgrowth, withanability to give and receive feedback.
Theability and desire to learnaboutrelevant College Board programs.

A Thoughtful Approach to Compensation
The hiring range for this role is $64,000 –$110,000.
Your exact salary will depend on your location, experience, and how your background compares to others in similar roles at the College Board.
